Columbia, S.C. –
The Wachovia Junior Davis Cup which has seen players such as Jim Courier, Brad Gilbert, Malavai Washington, and Ken Flach will be hosted on the campus of the University of South Carolina July 31st to August 3rd.

Play, which begins at 8 a.m. each day, is in a team format and action will take place at two facilities in the Columbia area: the Sam Daniel Tennis Center (USC men’s courts on Heyward Street at the Roost), and the Columbia Tennis Center (corner of Pickens and Whaley streets at the water tower). Teams will play a seven-point match (five singles, two doubles matches) with the winner advancing. Seventeen regions from across the country are represented, including the Southern Section who is the 2003 defending Wachovia Junior Davis Cup Champion. Seedings and the complete bracket will be released sometime Tuesday.

All championship draw matches from Saturday-Tuesday will be played at the Sam Daniel tennis facility.
