USC alum Zsolt Gaspar is not in Athens yet, but already he is getting excited to compete in his second Olympic games. He checked in with USCSPORTS.com today to talk about the Games.

USC: Good afternoon – what events you are competing in Athens?

ZG: I will swim the 100 fly and with Hungary’s 4×100 medley relay. I start competition on Thursday, August 19 with the 100 butterfly heats in the morning. The semi-finals are that night. On Friday, August 20 we will swim the 4x100m medley relay heats in the morning and the finals of the 100m fly are that night as well. The Finals of the 4x100m medley relay are the evening of Saturday, August 21.

USC: Are you going to the Opening Ceremonies?

ZG: No i will not be there. It’s too close to my race and it would be too much standing up. Plus, I don’t’ arrive in Athens until the 15th.

USC: Do you like the clothes Hungary will wear for the Opening Ceremonies – how would you describe it?

ZGL I have nicer suits from the one we got. We got
two suits with all the accessories. One of them is sea-
blue coat with a light color pants. The second one is
deep blue three buttom coat with a striped pants. I am sure my countrymen will look nice.

USC: You swim in just a few days. What will you eat the night before you compete
typically?

ZG: Usually, i eat some kind of easy digestible food like pasta or chicken.

USC: When do you go to Athens?

ZG: I will be there from August.15th until the games end.

USC: How many Olympics have you been to — any
special stories or surprises happen at all?

ZG: This will be my second one and planning to swim
on one more. I want to compete for Hungary in Beijing as well.

USC: Please tell us what you are most looking forward to in Athens?

ZG: I would like to final in the 100 fly and be top 6 in our medley relay.
