In today’s final entry, Cocky wraps up his trip to California. Although it was exciting, it was also exhausting. South Carolina’s favorite bird is now ready to come home and gear up for Gamecock athletics and events.

Remember fans, Cocky’s mission is to defend his Capital One National Mascot of the Year title so don’t forget, voting begins Oct. 12 right here on uscsports.com or at capitalonebowl.com.

Whew! All of our long hours are completed! I had a blast here filming, running around, and hanging out with the rest of the team. They crack me up so much! I’m resting my wings a little bit before I fly back home! Boy, I can’t wait to get back to the Palmetto state!

There are exciting times back at USC with the new freshman class coming in and I can’t wait to greet them. They will have such a great time at USC. I plan on greeting them as they move into the dorms and then see all of them at First Night Carolina amd other planned activities.

Then it is time to hit the training room and bring in the Gamecocks to the sound of 2001! Ooh, I just get chill bumps thinking of it.

We have a great fall schedule of sports with football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, cross country and equestrian!! Look out Columbia, I’m coming home!!!
