Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s soccer team (6-9-2, 0-6-2 SEC) heads back on the road as the Gamecocks travel to face Arkansas (6-8-2, 2-4-2 SEC) on Friday night at 8 p.m. ET at Lady ‘Back Field in Fayetteville, Ark. Carolina will then return home on Sunday afternoon for a 1 p.m. match vs. LSU at Stone Stadium.

South Carolina and Arkansas last played in the 2002 season as the Lady Razorbacks defeated South Carolina 2-1 in overtime in Columbia. USC defeated Arkansas 2-0 in the last matchup between both schools in Arkansas on October 12, 2001. The series history is tied 3-3 with both schools earning two wins apiece on the road.

Senior forward Ashley Williams, senior defender Sarah Lentz and sophomore midfielder Jessi Swaim continue to lead on the offensive end for Carolina heading into the weekend. Williams and Lentz each scored in last Sunday’s match vs. Mississippi State and Swaim contributed her team-high sixth assist. Williams leads Carolina in offense with seven goals for 14 points with Lentz and Swaim right behind her with 10 points each. South Carolina is averaging 1.45 goals per game and lead the SEC in corner kicks with 99 on the season.
