The University of South Carolina men’s tennis team wrapped up their play in the ITA Mideast Regional on Saturday. The Gamecocks had three players competing on Saturday and had two of the three advance to the round of 32 with one reaching the round of 16.

Tom Eklund dropped his round of 16 match to the No. 2 seeded Ludovic Walter of Duke on Saturday, 7-6,7-5. Eklund advanced to the round of 16 with a win over 17th seeded Ben Carlotti of UNC 6-2,6-4. In doubles, Eklund and his teammate Jamie Cueller were edged by the 7th seeded team of Arnaud Leclorec and Francesc Lieal of VCU, 9-7. Pedro Rodrigues dropped his round of 32 match to NC State’s Conor Taylor 6-2,7-5.

The Gamecocks will return to action on Nov. 5 at the Bulldog Scramble in Athens, Ga.
