Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s golf team heads to Rocky Face, Ga. this weekend to compete in the Carpet Capital Collegiate. The Farm Golf Club (par 72, 6906 yards) will be the host of the three-day tournament.

The 16-team field includes Auburn, Augusta State, Clemson, Duke, East Tennessee State, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, New Mexico, NC State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Southern California, Tennessee, Texas, Texas Christian, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

The first round of 18 holes will begin on Friday, November 5, and will be followed with another round of 18 on both Saturday and Sunday. Tee times are set for 8:30am-9:06am on Friday.

Competing this week for the Gamecocks are seniors Alex Hamilton and Jake Thompson, and juniors Eirik Johansen, Robert Svensson, and West Streib.

The tournament was originally scheduled for September 16-19 but was cancelled because inclement weather.
