Columbia, S.C. – The Southeastern Conference announced recently the 2004 Good Works Team for volleyball and South Carolina’s Sarah Morgan was selected to the team. The Good Works Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to her community in superior efforts. Morgan is a first-time recipient of this honor.

A public relations major from Gibsonia, Pa., Morgan has staffed and served a holiday meal at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen for Thanksgiving in addition to volunteering for the Harvest Hope Food Drive. The junior outside hitter also volunteers for Palmetto Children’s Hospital and helps rebuild homes of the elderly in Columbia.

In addition, Morgan was the project coordinator for the Heart Works Children’s Ministry Field Day and is a Make-A-Wish Foundation volunteer.

This is the second year for the SEC to sponsor the Good Works Team. USC volleyball’s first ever selection was Nicole Miller in 2003.
