On Saturday, February 26 the USC equestrian team will travel to Auburn to compete against the Auburn Tigers. The match will start at 11am ET and will be hosted at the Auburn Horse Unit.

This weekend Coach Duncan and her riders will rematch against Auburn’s equestrian team. Earlier in the season Auburn narrowly won over the Gamecocks with a difference in score of only 3.5 points. The Gamecocks and Tigers are evenly matched, but the Gamecocks have more to prove. After a loss to West Texas A&M, USC’s equestrian team needs a victory.

The Gamecocks will need to regroup and refocus after a chaotic competition against West Texas A&M last weekend. The team was faced with unforeseen obstacles such as food poisoning, suspension and missed flights. The situation forced hunt seat riders to compete in reining and reiners to participate in equitation.

“We had horsemanship riders reigning and reining riders riding horsemanship to fill the spots and it was crazy for us”, said Head Coach Boo Duncan.

The competition between University of South Carolina and Auburn will start at 11am ET and will be held at the Auburn Horse Unit.
