Columbia, S.C. – By virtue of her performance at the NCAA East Regional this weekend, South Carolina sophomore women’s golfer Jenna Pearson qualified to compete as an individual at the NCAA Championships played at the Meadows Course in Sunriver, Ore., from May 17-19.

Pearson finished 14th at the East Regional by carding a three-round score of 70-77-72=219, and qualified for Nationals by finishing with one of the top two scores among players competing for schools that did not finish in the top eight on the team leader board at Regionals.

Pearson played her best round of the year at the Meadows Course in the Gamecocks’ first tournament of the fall, carding a 69-74-74=217 to finish in a tie for 14th at the NCAA Fall Preview held Sept. 20-22.
