Brno, Czech Republic – South Carolina rising senior Olga Gritsaeva scored seven points, grabbed four rebounds, distributed a team-high four assists, blocked three shots and made three steals in lifting Russia to a 62-51 victory over Germany in preliminary round action at the FIBA European Championship for Under-20 Women Saturday.

One of the most active players on the floor in the contest, Gritsaeva came off the bench to play 37 of the possible 40 minutes in the game to help the favored Russians to victory. Russia is the only team in its group to win its first two games, as the squad handed Poland a 70-65 defeat on Friday.

Gritsaeva and her team are back in action Sunday when they take on Italy, who lost a 70-60 decision to Poland Saturday.
