It was announced earlier in the week on uscsports.com that the Gamecock volleyball team would hold a 10 a.m. scrimmage at the Strom Thurmond Wellness Center Saturday, Aug. 20. That scrimmage has now been changed to a closed practice and will not be open to the public.

A public preseason scrimmage will be scheduled at a later time and will be announced next week on uscsports.com.

The Gamecock volleyball team will continue to prepare for their season opener that is scheduled for Sept. 2 against the University of Pittsburgh in Tallahassee, Fla. The Gamecocks are participating in the Florida State Tournament, Sept. 2-3. USC will also face Florida State and Mercer.
