The South Carolina Board of Trustees has approved the partnership between the Carolina Athletics Department and Paciolan Systems, Inc. to manage ticketing operations for all athletic events, it was announced today.

With this partnership, the USC Athletics Ticket Office is able to better serve Gamecock fans by offering renewals, season tickets and single games and e-mail communication on-line via www.uscsports.com.

“Our goal is to concentrate on serving our best customers – Gamecock club members and season ticket holders,” said Carolina Executive Associate Athletics Director Kevin O’Connell. “The Paciolan System allows us to implement state-of-the-art ticketing technology, giving our fans the ability to order tickets on-line at their discretion and in the process, making our operation much more efficient.”

Paciolan provides tailored ticketing and marketing solutions that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manager their own tickets – eliminating the need for third-party distributors. By adopting “in-house” solutions, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue.

“We are honored that after rigorous analysis of the industry’s leading ticketing vendors that the University of South Carolina made the decision to partner with Paciolan,” said Dave Butler, President and CED of Paciolan. “The University’s fans will be well served by the breadth of functionality offered in the Paciolan system. Not only will the University be in a position to successfully sell its tickets, but it will be in a position to foster and grow the relationship with their fans for years to come.”

“The Paciolan System features digital technology, allowing the customer to transfer tickets on-line and print tickets at home through the use of a bar code system,” said USC Athletics Manager of Ticket Operations Kent Hegenauer. “In addtion, tickets will be scanned as the patrons enter the facility, giving us an accurate attendance count while helping to eliminate counterfeiting.”

Founded in 1980, Paciolan is a leading ticketing enabler, providing ticketing, fundraising and marketing technology solutions for top venues across North America.
