MEN’S SOCCER (12-6-2, 7-1-1 C-USA)
Men’s soccer swept through the C-USA post-season tournament with wins over Kentucky, Memphis and Tulsa to bring home the league title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Mike Gustavson, Ryan Leeton, Ralph Pace and Eric Szeszycki were named to the all-tournament team. They are 12-1-2 in their last 15 matches and play at Wake Forest on Friday. The winner of the that game will take on 10th seed Old Dominion on Nov. 22.

FOOTBALL (7-3, 5-3)
The Gamecocks posted their school-record fifth straight SEC win, a 30-22 win over Florida on Saturday. It was USC’s first win over the Gators since 1939. The team was selected as the Tostitos National Team of the Week for the second time this season. Chris Tucker was named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his efforts. The regular season concludes Saturday with a home game vs. Clemson at 7 p.m.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
The men’s basketball team opened its season with a 95-63 exhibition win over USC-Aiken. Rocky Trice led all scorers with 15 points. They open the regular season Friday at Western Carolina and host Toledo on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. before heading to Alaska for the Shootout.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The women’s basketball team dropped an exhibition game on Monday. Melanie Johnson had a double-double scoring 17 points and bringing down 11 rebounds. Their regular season opens with home games Friday vs. High Point and Sunday against Winthrop.

CROSS COUNTRY
The cross county squad wrapped up its season with a 24th-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet in Greenville, N.C. Sophomore Rebecca Chain was USC’s top finisher.

SWIMMING & DIVING (M: 1-4; W: 2-4)
The USC swimming and diving teams return to the pool on Nov. 18 when they compete at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station.

VOLLEYBALL (12-14, 5-11)
The volleyball squad rallied to win each of its last two conference matches of the season, posting home wins over Auburn (3-1) and Alabama (3-2). They came from two games down to snap a five-match losing streak against the Crimson Tide. The season wraps up on Nov. 26 with a home match versus Winthrop.
