The South Carolina men’s soccer team’s 2005 Conference USA Tournament Championship will be featured in this week’s C-USA Total Access program on College Sports Television (CSTV). The show, which will cover Conference USA’s fall highlights and award winners, airs Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m.
The Gamecocks captured the Conference USA Tournament title in their first season competing in the league. Seeded second, Carolina advanced past Kentucky via shootout in the first round, defeated Memphis, 2-1 in the semifinals and shut down Tulsa, 1-0, to claim the championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. South Carolina rallied after an 0-5-0 start to finish with a 12-7-2 record. USC placed second in the C-USA regular season standings, including a 3-0 win over regular season champ SMU. The Mustangs are playing in the College Cup (Final Four) this weekend in Cary, N.C.
