“I saw aggressiveness on our team’s part but at the same time, every loose ball ended up in Vandy’s hands. We had a lot of tips and deflections but couldn’t come up with the ball.”
Regarding Turnovers:
“You have opportunities and you turn the ball over – we’re better than that. It was hurried.”
Regarding Vanderbilt’s Zone:
“Vandy plays one of the best match-up zones. You need to attack that with penetration. Sometimes you try to make the home run pass for the easy score, but you end up turning the ball over.”
Regarding Playing Three Top-25 Teams To Start Conference Play:
“Not many teams have to come out and play No. 1 (Tennessee) and No. 3 (LSU) and then play on the road (at Kentucky and LSU). We have confidence in this team. They’ve got to weather the tough part of this schedule mentally, and that’s something they have to do.”

“Our team fought hard to come back. Unfortunately down the stretch, we had a lot of turnovers. Vanderbilt capitalized on those turnovers.”
“We’re a little stagnant on offense. We’ll work on that in practice. We’ll get better on that, and hopefully that will get better as SEC play goes.”

Regarding Her Team’s Primary Focus:
“Rebounding. Checking the SEC stats going into the game, we knew that (the Gamecocks) were No. 1 in offensive rebounds and we were last.”
Regarding USC Second Half Comeback:
“We worked on defense and getting stops. The kind of offense we’re playing was in spurts.”
Regarding Team Leaders:
“It’s been three games where we depend on (Dee Davis and Carla Thomas). We’re going to need those games where they step up. We just want them to be consistent and they have been in the first three SEC games.”
