TIE-DYE AND TWO BUCKS

The first 800 student fans at South Carolina’s basketball game on Florida on Wed., Jan. 25 game will receive a free Tie-Dye T-shirt to wear at the game. For the six remaining home games, USC students will also receive a very special deal as well when wearing the t-shirt to those home games: a hot dog and drink for $2! That’s right – a hot dog and a drink for two dollars just for wearing the t-shirt!

Get to the Colonial Center early to grab your t-shirt and dinner deal! Tip off is at 8 p.m.

SPECIAL STUDENT ENTRANCE

Gamecock students will need to get to the Florida game a bit early on Wednesday night to make sure they are part of a very special entrance to be made, especially for the students, out of the 111 tunnel by the Gamecock basketball team. Instead of coming out of their own home tunnel on Wednesday night, the Gamecock basketball team will make its final entrance prior to the game (about the 3:30 mark on the clock) from the 111 tunnel in the middle of the student section. Please make sure to get there early so you get a seat near all the action.

YOU ASKED FOR NEW MUSIC, YOU GOT IT!

In addition to the new entrance, the Colonial Center will introduce a new play list, especially selected by members of the men’s basketball team, to be played 90 minutes prior to the game. A few new songs will also be played during time outs. A sample of some of the play-list is below. It was selected and approved by hoopsters, including Brandon Wallace, Antoine Tisby, Renaldo Balkman, Tre’ Kelley, Stephen McDowell, Tarence Kinsey, Ousmane Konate and Bryce Sheldon.

USC students are about to have access to the Colonial Center like they never have before. As if top-notch basketball and entertainment weren’t enough to draw students to the arena, now USC students will have even more reasons to attend basketball games and concerts.

1. USC of Carolina Card at the Colonial Center for purchase of food and tickets

2. Pre and Post Game Shuttlecocks from three areas on campus

3. Student entry from any gate at the Colonial Center With a swipe of the Carolina Card, students will be able to enjoy any event at the Colonial Center. Students who attend basketball games and other Colonial Center events are now able to purchase food and drinks from select concession stands in the arena with their Carolina Card. Possibly more exciting though, is the fact that students will be able to swipe their card to purchase tickets to all Colonial Center events. Additionally, USC is running FREE Shuttlecocks, buses that will transport students from select locations on campus to the Colonial Center, for all remaining home basketball games. The shuttles will pick up students from Bates, Russell House and Capstone, and will begin running one hour prior to game time. The shuttles will run for up to an hour after the game to return students to campus.

As for arriving at basketball games and entering the Colonial Center, students will now be able to enter through the front doors of the building. In the past, students have had a separate entrance on Lincoln Street; however, this access has been modified, and students will now be welcomed through the front doors
