South Carolina men’s soccer player Makan Hislop (Tobago, West Indies) has been selected to represent Trinidad & Tobago on its Under-21 National Team. From Feb. 12-23, the team is in the midst of a series of friendly games against MLS professional and college teams in Tampa, Fla. The two-week session is designed to prepare for the upcoming qualifying tournament of the Central America and Caribbean Games where Trinidad & Tobago will face Dominica on March 31 and Haiti on April 4.

Hislop, a defender, is a two-year starter and helped the Gamecocks win the 2005 Conference USA Tournament. He is a rising senior.
