Sporting a 3-0 record last year when visiting the Russell House prior to its NIT home games, South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Dave Odom will stop by the Russell House for lunch on Tues., March 14 at Noon. He will visit with the students and pass out tickets for the Gamecocks’ first round NIT game vs. Western Kentucky at 7 pm on Wed., March 15.

He will chat with students, sign autographs and give away tickets to a number of students.

Kelley, Balkman named to SEC All-Tournament team

South Carolina’s Tre’ Kelley and Renaldo Balkman were both named to the Southeastern Conference All-Tournament team after falling 47-49 to Florida in the SEC Championship game on Sunday.

Kelley averaged 15.3 ppg and 4.3 apg in the four game stretch. Balkman averaged 12.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg and 2.5 spg.

Palacios lost for the season with broken bone in left foot

Junior Kevin Palacios, who had come off the bench as of late to play some valuable minutes, suffered a broken bone in his left foot during the SEC Championship title game vs. Florida. He will have surgery on Friday and will not play the rest of the season.
