Incoming freshmen soccer student-athletes Andrew Evans, Jamal Geathers and Schuyler Reardon were recently named to the South Carolina Super 22 team by SCsoccer.com. All three signed a national letter-of-intent in February to continue their academic and athletic careers at USC this fall.
The top 22 players in the Palmetto State, regardless of classification, received the honor. To be eligible for recognition, student-athletes had to be selected to either an All-Region, All-State or North-South Soccer Classic Team.
Evans, who won the South Carolina Gatorade State High School Player of the Year in 2006, attended Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce, S.C. He was also a NSCAA All-Region and All-America selection during his prep career.
Geathers helped South Aiken High School to the 2005 State Championship and earned All-America honors from StudentSportsSoccer.com during his prep career. He was named an All-Star at the adidas Elite Soccer Program as well.
Reardon attended Aiken High School where he was a two-time team MVP. He also earned Region MVP honors from the Augusta Chronicle in 2006 after scoring 15 goals and collecting eight assists.
