The University of South Carolina is hosting a free seminar on Methicillin-Resistant Staph Aureus (MRSA) and the implications for sports participants.

The session will be held in the 600 level of the press box on the west side of Williams-Brice Stadium on Tuesday, July 18 from 10 a.m. – noon. A box lunch will be served to all participants following the seminar.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is a type of bacteria that is resistant to certain antibiotics. These antibiotics include methicillin and other more common antibiotics such as oxacillin, penicillin and amoxicillin.
