CHAPEL HILL, N.C. —Senior Pedro Rodrigues won the Flight A-1 Singles Championship Sunday as the South Carolina men’s tennis team wrapped up play in the UNC Fall Invitational, presented by One-A-Day Vitamins.

Rodrigues handily defeated Sebastian Guejman of North Carolina, 6-2, 6-3, in Sunday’s Flight A-1 title match. Rodrigues did not drop a set in four matches on the weekend.

Gamecock freshman David Wolff, competing in his first collegiate event, fell to North Carolina’s Taylor Fogleman, 7-5, 6-3, in the Flight B-1 singles final.

The Gamecock men’s tennis team returns to action Oct. 13-15 as it plays host to the USC Fall Invitational.
