HARTSVILLE, S.C.–Sophomore Baker Elmore (Cheraw, S.C.) captured the individual title and all five Gamecocks finished in the top 10 as the South Carolina men’s golf Garnet Team won the Coker Collegiate Intercollegiate Tuesday in Hartsville. The Gamecocks recorded a score of 281-285=566 (-10) to outdistance second-place Coker College by 23 strokes in the event, played at the Hartsville Country Club (Par 72 – 6,615 yards).

Elmore enjoyed a first-round 67 on Monday, and carded second-round 72 for a total score of 139 (-5). Redshirt sophomore Patrick Cunning (Aiken, S.C.) tied for second with and Concord’s Darcy Donaldson. Cunning posted rounds of 74-67=141 (-3).

Freshman Patrick Rada (Anderson, S.C.) and redshirt junior David Kite (Austin, Texas) tied for fourth on the individual leader board. Rada turned in rounds of 71-73=144 and Ktie posted a total score of 70-74=144. Freshman Bryan Miller (Dalton, Ga.) tied for 10th after carding back-to-back rounds of 73.

Members of the South Carolina golf team will return to the links Sunday, Oct. 22, as play begins in the UCF-Isleworth Invitational. The tournament, played at Isleworth Country Club in Orlando, runs through Tuesday, Oct. 24.
