Recap | Box Score | Notes

USC Head Coach Susan Walvius

“One of our adjustments was taking care of the basketball. We did a better job of that in the second half. When we’re getting an opportunity to shoot the ball, we’re shooting about 50%. That’s been the case the last couple of games and we need to create more opportunities. If you can clean up the turnovers like we`ve been doing, we can score up to 100 points in a game.”

“We had a lot of great individual performances today. Today you had Melanie Johnson step up with a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Ilona Burgrova stepped up with 10 points and 12 rebounds for us. Iva (Sliskovic) only gets two points today and Lauren (Simms) only two points today when they’ve been the stars for us recently really shows the strength of this team. Brionna Dickerson and Stacy Booker also stepped up and you can have anyone step up for us any day.”

“We’ve got a real smart group and had real good focus today. Anytime you can go on the road and win big (is good). We had a lot of fans today, and they helped us pull it through. It was a really vocal crowd and it really helped.”

“I’m real excited about what you’re starting to see (Brionna) Dickerson do. You saw that today when she went 6-for-7 (from the field). She’s got a knack for putting the ball in the hole. We see that in practice a lot, but she has a really unselfish attitude to shoot the ball.”

“You’ve got to be happy as a basketball coach when u shoot 57% in the second half and 52% for the game. I’m real pleased with our shots once we get the opportunity to shoot the ball.”
