South Carolina senior Ayo Akinsete (London, England) was recently chosen in the Major Indoor Soccer League Draft by the Orlando Sharks.

Akinsete was the first pick of the third round. A four-year starter for the Gamecocks, Akinsete exhausted his eligibility in 2006. He scored 57 career points on 24 goals, including 10 game winners, and nine assists. As a senior in 2006, he was named third-team all-Conference USA.
