Columbia, S.C. –
The South Carolina Equestrian team will be honored by the State House Wednesday, May 16 at 10:00 ET. A resolution will be read from the House floor honoring the team for their efforts in winning the 2007 Varsity Equestrian National Championship. The title is the teams second in three years. A framed copy of the resolution will be presented to the team at the State House.

“We are honored to be presented with the Resolution by the House. It certainly is a testament to the accomplishments of the team this year. We are looking forward to it and the girls are excited about being recognized by the state.”

The team finished with a 9-3 record during the regular season. The Hunt Seat team was the only team in the nation to go undefeated, claiming a 15-0 record. The Western Team finished with a 7-8 record, but finished the season with a strong showing at the Varsity Equestrian National Championship, going 3-1 in the competition.
