The University of South Carolina Cheerleading team and Cocky attended the NCA Collegiate Cheerleading camp in Myrtle Beach, S.C. over the weekend of August 17-19 and won a number of top awards, including the Most Collegiate award.

The South Carolina Co-ed team earned the Most Collegiate award, in addition to 1st place in the Rally Routine competition, 2nd place in Game Day Competition as well as a paid bid to the NCA College Nationals competition. The Co-ed team was also the Top Gun Stunt Partner winners.

The All-Girls team placed 1st in the Rally Routine competition, won five All-American mascot awards and a paid bid to the NCA College Nationals competition. The All-Girls team also won the Top Gun Stunt Group award.

Cocky received the Best All-Around Mascot award as well as an All-American award.
