ATHENS, Ga. – The South Carolina men’s tennis team concluded action at the Southern Intercollegiates on Sunday, having to withdraw from its final matches due to illness. Carolina’s Pedro Campos, seeded 16th in the tournament, posted the most impressive Gamecock victory of the weekend, defeating third-ranked Marek Sramek of South Alabama (4-6, 5-3, inj. ret.) to advance to Sunday’s quarterfinals. Carolina continues its fall season on October 12-14 at its home tournament, the South Carolina Invitational.
