COLUMBIA, S.C. – The 25th-ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team hosts Arkansas Sunday afternoon in the SEC Game of the Week in the regular season home finale. It will be Senior Day for the Gamecocks (12-4-2; 4-3-2 SEC) as they honor eight seniors before the 1 p.m. kickoff that will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net. All fans are encouraged to arrive early to honor South Carolina’s senior class.
Carolina is coming off a 1-1 draw at No. 20 LSU Thursday night and is currently sixth in the SEC Tournament race. With games remaining against Arkansas (8-9-1; 1-7-1 SEC) and at Florida (10-4-2; 6-2-0 SEC), Carolina can finish anywhere from fourth to eighth in the conference as they look to keep their five-game unbeaten streak alive.
The eight seniors playing in their final home game at South Carolina are Laura Armstrong, Courtney Cobbs, Annie Galloway, Kimmy Gillespie, Ashley Kirk, Darcel Mollon, Erin Sullivan and Lindsay Thorstenson.
