COLUMBIA, S.C. – Over 200 children attended a Halloween Party hosted by South Carolina Athletics on Wednesday night before the South Carolina vs. Florida volleyball game. Children were encouraged to come dressed in costume and trick-or-treated through the lobby of the Volleyball Competition Facility. Halloween games such as Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin and Volleyball Memory were offered as a way for kids to earn more candy.

“It is a privilege for us to offer the youth of our community a safe place to go on Halloween,” said Dawn Ellerbe, Director of Marketing for Varsity Sports. “The children seemed to enjoy the party with games, tons of candy and pictures with Cocky. Our marketing department worked hard to make this party a success, and we look forward to making it bigger and better for next year.”

After getting a bag of candy and playing the games, kids had the opportunity to get their picture taken with Cocky. Even Cocky got into the costume act and was dressed as a superhero for Halloween. Photos taken with Cocky can be viewed on the Volleyball page of GamecocksOnline.com and click on Volleyball Halloween Party.
