IRVING, Tex. – South Carolina freshman forward Mike Lindsay has been named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Lindsay scored two goals, including his first-career game winner in USC’s 2-1, overtime victory against Kentucky last Friday. This is his first C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honor.

In just his second career start, Lindsay tallied two goals, including his first career game-winner in South Carolina’s 2-1 overtime victory against Kentucky on Friday in the regular-season finale for both schools. It was Carolina’s 10th win of the season and secured USC’s spot as the No. 4 seed in the 2007 C-USA Men’s Soccer Championship. Lindsay ranks fourth on the team with three goals on 12 shots during the regular season.

The Gamecocks travel to Birmingham, Ala., for the Conference USA Championship, Nov. 14-18. Fourth-seeded USC takes on No. 5 Memphis on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
