COLUMBIA, S.C. – Following a two-goal performance, including his first collegiate game winner, freshman forward Mike Lindsay has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Lindsay tallied both Carolina goals in a 2-1, overtime victory against Kentucky in the Gamecocks’ regular-season finale last Friday. The award marks the first national honor of his career.

In just his second career start, Lindsay tallied two goals, including his first career game-winner in South Carolina’s 2-1 overtime victory against Kentucky on Friday in the regular-season finale for both schools. It was Carolina’s 10th win of the season and secured USC’s spot as the No. 4 seed in the 2007 C-USA Men’s Soccer Championship. Lindsay ranks fourth on the team with three goals on 12 shots during the regular season.
