BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Freshman forward Mike Lindsay and sophomore defender Mark Wiltse were both named to the Conference USA All-Tournament team on Sunday, as announced by the league office following the championship game. Lindsay tallied his fourth goal of the season in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Memphis, while Wiltse contributed his second goal of the year in Friday’s 4-1 loss to Tulsa. Tulsa earned C-USA’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 3-2 victory over Florida International in Sunday’s final.

Lindsay continued a stellar rookie campaign, contributing his fourth goal of the season on South Carolina’s first tally against Memphis. He also drew the foul in the first overtime session setting up the Gamecock penalty kick that secured USC’s 2-1 victory.

Wiltse helped anchor a strong Carolina defensive line all season along. He joined forces on the Gamecock line that helped secure USC’s victory against Memphis. Wiltse tallied USC’s lone goal against Tulsa, a strike from 25 yards out into the lower left side.
