  • The overall series between the two schools is tied at one game a piece. The Gamecocks defeated the Bears 64-59 on Dec. 9, 2006 in Waco, Texas.
  • The game against Baylor was South Carolina’s first home game since playing Campbell on Nov. 28, 2007 and first game since a 68-67 victory over Providence on Dec. 6th, 2007 in Philadelphia.
  • Dominique Archie has started all 40 games played in his career at USC. Archie scored in double figures for the 3rd time this season and the 17th time in his career. The last time he scored in double figures was on Nov. 17, 2007 against Southern California where he scored 20 points against the Trojans.
  • Carolina recorded 4 assists on its first 5 field goals made. The Gamecocks recorded 10 assists on 16 field goals made in the first half.
  • The Gamecocks have at least one block in 96 consecutive games and a three-pointer made in 178 straight.
  • Devan Downey has scored in double figures in all 10 games this season. Downey has 3 games this season where he has recorded 7+ assists with a career high 11 against The Citadel on Nov. 12.
  • Sam Muldrow recorded a career high 12 points. His previous high was 8 points against The Citadel on Nov. 12 and against George Mason on Nov. 25.
  • The Gamecocks went on a 16-3 run from the 8:40 to 4:34 mark and led by 20 points, 44-24 and then Baylor went on a 21-6 run to end the half and trim the South Carolina lead to 5, 50-45. Baylor opened the second half on a 19-3 run.
  • USC has scored 40+ first half points in four of five home games this season. (SC State, The Citadel, Campbell, and Baylor) Last year USC scored 40+ in only eight halves total. South Carolina scored 50 points in the first half against South Carolina State and 57 points in the second half against The Citadel.
  • The Gamecocks hit their first 16 free throws of the night before missing their first with 4:55 remaining in the second half. USC went 15-of-15 in the first half. Carolina finished the night 18-of-19 from the free throw line tying its 3rd highest free throw percentage in school history with other games (18-19: vs. George Washington, 11/30/87 and vs. N.C. State 3/4/66).
  • Brandis Raley-Ross scored in double figures for the 4th consecutive game. He has 10+ points in 6 games this season. Raley-Ross is 16-22 from 3-point range in the last 4 games and came into the game leading the SEC with a 70% mark from beyond the 3.
  • Dwayne Day tied a career high with 7 rebounds. (Arkansas on Feb. 4, 2006.)
