COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina men’s tennis team (10-11, 1-9 SEC) travels to No. 8 Florida (12-6, 7-3) on Saturday to conclude its regular season. The Gamecocks are fresh off a win against archrival Clemson and look to extend their winning streak to two matches in Gainesville. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. at Linder Stadium at the Ring Tennis Complex.

The Gamecocks enter Saturday’s match having lost two of their last three SEC conference matches, with their lone win coming at then-No. 41 Arkansas on March 30. South Carolina has seen solid performances down the stretch from senior Yevgeny Supeko, sophomores Pedro Campos and Diego Cubas and freshman Johannes Pulsfort. In its most recent match at Clemson, Carolina won all six singles points for the first time since a 7-0 sweep of Charlotte on Feb. 9.

Entering weekend action, Florida has won three of its last five matches, all against SEC opponents. Senior Greg Ouellette is ranked fourth in the most recent ITA singles rankings, while teammates Alex Lacroix (No. 51) and Nestor Briceno (No. 89) are also among the nation’s elite singles contenders. Florida most recently dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Alabama on Monday in a match postponed from the previous day. The Gators own a 19-3 advantage in the all-time series against South Carolina.
