The women’s 5000 meter race begins at 10:00 a.m., following the men’s 8000 meter race to start at 9:00 a.m.

Over 20 women’s teams will be competing at the race. Three of those teams – Louisville, Appalachian State and Charlotte – are currently in the top 15 in the Southeast Region, according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

In its last outing, South Carolina finished second at the Eye Opener Invitational. Freshman Beatrice Biwott led the Gamecocks, finishing third overall with a time of 18:30. Biwott earned SEC Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Week accolades for her performance.
