–With the win, South Carolina improves to 71-52 all-time against their neighbors from the Upstate. Furman’s last win against the Gamecocks came during the 1980 season.
–South Carolina has led at the half in all seven of its games this year; however, the Gamecocks’ 35 points at the break tonight marked their fewest points scored in the first half this season.

–Evaldas Baniulis hit double-digits for the fourth time in five contests with his 12 points. He continued his hot streak from beyond the arc, knocking down three of his five attempts.
–Mitchell Carter set a career high with two blocks in tonight’s contest. He scored two points in eight minutes of action. Austin Steed also equaled a career high with a pair of blocks as well.
