BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The University of South Carolina equestrian team will join Gamecock fans at Colonial Life Arena tonight prior to the men’s basketball game against Vanderbilt in the third annual Spurs & Saddles event.

Beginning at 5:30, Gamecock fans will get the chance to meet and take photos with the riders and their horses at the Colonial Life Arena fountain. The Spurs & Saddles event is ideal for families with children as well as anyone wishing to stop by to support the two-time national champion equestrian team as they prepare for a home meet Saturday. Pictures on the horses are free and can be viewed later at GamecocksOnline.com. The team will be available until tip-off.

The South Carolina equestrian team is coming off a win at UT Martin last week and is prepared to host reining national reserve champion Texas A&M Saturday at One Wood Farm. The meet is the first home meet of the spring season for the Gamecock equestrian team.
