Game Preview
South Carolina (20-8, 9-6 SEC) looks to snap a two-game losing streak when it travels to face Georgia (12-18, 3-12 SEC) in the regular-season finale for both schools on Saturday in Athens. The Gamecocks have already secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming SEC Tournament and will have a bye in the first round of play. South Carolina head coach Darrin Horn owns a 3-1 all-time record against Georgia as a head coach, including a 1-0 mark as the head coach at South Carolina.

Series Information
Georgia owns a slight 46-45 lead in the all-time series with South Carolina. The series is tied 5-5 in the last 10 meetings between the two schools, however, UGA has won three of the last five.

Scouting Georgia
• Georgia enters Saturday’s contest with a 12-18 overall record, including a 3-12 mark in SEC play.

• The Bulldogs have caught fire of late, winning two of their last three contests, including a 90-85 victory over Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Wednesday. Georgia shot nearly 50 percent from the field in the victory, led by Terrance Woodbury’s 30 points.

• The Bulldogs are led by interim head coach Pete Herrmann. He is 3-7 thus far with Georgia. He was previously the head coach at the U.S. Naval Academy (1987-1992), where he helped the David Robinson led squad to the NCAA Tournament in his first season at the helm of the program.

• Woodbury leads just two UGA players averaging double figures with 14.2 points per game. He is slightly better in SEC play, providing 14.5 points per outing. Woodbury also contributes 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.7 steals per game. He has led the Bulldogs in scoring 12 times, including a game-high 20 points in the loss at South Carolina in early February. Woodbury is the lone double-figure returnee from last year’s squad.

• Freshman forward Trey Thompkins has enjoyed a strong rookie campaign. Entering Saturday’s matchup with South Carolina, Thompkins provides 12.8 points and a team best 7.3 rebounds per outing. Thompkins has led the team in rebounding 13 times, including the last eight consecutive outings (pulled down 11 boards in victory at Kentucky).

Scouting South Carolina
• South Carolina enters Saturday’s contest at Georgia with a 20-8 overall mark, including a 9-6 record in league contests. The Gamecocks look to snap a two-game losing streak in the contest, having lost consecutive games at Vanderbilt and to Tennessee.

• The Gamecocks have secured a bye in the first round of the SEC Tournament and have also secured the No. 2 seed in the East.

• South Carolina could still earn a share of the SEC Eastern Division title with a Gamecock victory over Georgia and a Tennessee loss to Alabama on Sunday.

• Junior point guard Devan Downey leads a pack of four Gamecocks in double figures with 20.1 points per game (19.7 ppg in SEC play), while he also paces the squad with 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Downey rates third in the SEC in scoring behind Kentucky’s Jodie Meeks (25.0 ppg) and LSU’s Marcus Thornton (20.9 ppg). Downey has registered double figures in 27 of 28 games this season and has recorded three or more steals 17 times.

• Senior guard Zam Fredrick provides 15.5 points per game (15.7 ppg in SEC play), while also dishing 1.8 assists and collecting 2.8 rebounds per contest. Fredrick has recorded double figures in 23 of 28 games, including five 20-point efforts, while he has also recorded at least two assists 14 times this season. Fredrick tallied 13 points and dished two assists in the first matchup against Georgia this season.

• Junior forward Dominique Archie needs just 81 points to reach 1,000 in his Gamecock career entering Saturday’s matchup at Georgia. Archie provides 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.4 steals per game.
