South Carolina freshman Kelsey Bone will send periodic updates from her time with USA Basketball as the team prepares for the U19 World Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hey there Gamecock fans!!!! Greetings from the mountains of Colorado! I’ve been here training with the U19 team for a few days now, and we are coming together as a team on and off the court.
We had a very smooth and energetic practice this morning, and now we are on break preparing for our scrimmage tonight against a group of guys. We practice twice per day – once at 10 a.m. and once at 5 p.m. Practice is always hard and intense. It is so fun to be apart of this system. Wearing the red, white and blue brings me so much pride. There is no greater feeling than going out and representing your country, while doing something you love.
On Friday we will hop on a plane and head over to Bangkok, Thailand. I’m excited to be able to experience another new culture! In the meantime I’ll be here in the mountains preparing to bring back the Gold!
See you guys soon,
Kels
Go Gamecocks!
