COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina men’s soccer coach Mark Berson announced today that senior defender Mark Wiltse, who was injured in the Gamecocks’ 3-1 victory over Charlotte on Tuesday evening, is out for the year with a broken right lower leg. During his career at South Carolina, Wiltse has contributed two goals and two assists. Wiltse will be eligible for a medical hardship.

Wiltse has started 52 of his 53 games played at South Carolina. The senior from Belle Meade, N.J., earned All-Conference USA Third Team honors in both 2007 and 2008, and was named to the 2006 Conference USA All-Freshman Team.
