ORLANDO – South Carolina men’s tennis opened its season with a rough start, dropping three doubles matches at the Central Florida Invitational Thursday afternoon at the UCF Tennis Complex. The Gamecocks saw their top duo of Diego Cubas and Ivan Machado drop their first match of the season, falling to Marc Rocafort and Blaze Schwartz of UCF 8-6 in the Doubles A draw.

The Knights completed their sweep of the Gamecocks as Claudio Romano and Brock Sakey topped Ivan Cressoni and Johannes Pulsfort 8-4, also in the Doubles A draw. In the Doubles B section, Joe Delinks and Eugene Dolgovykh upended Chris Sheehan and David Wolff 8-6.

The UCF Invitational continues on Friday with singles matches beginning at 9 a.m.
