As part of Gamecock Club Appreciation Day, the Gamecock Club recognized the following chapters for their efforts:

2009 Most Improved Chapter Award: Hilton Head Chapter (Chapter President Kent Eddy)

2009 MVP Chapter Award: Florence County (Chapter President Rod Jernigan)

The Director’s Cup is an annual award established by the Gamecock Club to acknowledge two chapters that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and dedication to promoting the success of the University of South Carolina Athletics program.

The Director’s Cup consists of a Garnet Division for counties with less than 250 Gamecock Club members and a Black Division for counties with more than 250 Gamecock Club members.

Black Division Winner: Charleston County Gamecock Club (Chapter President Meredith Blackwell)

Garnet Division Winner: Sumter County Gamecock Club (Chapter President Bud Hickman)
