COLUMBIA, S.C. – Corrine Carr from the Gamecock women’s golf team has been named South Carolina’s AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Carr, a senior from Pinehurst, N.C., put together the best 54-hole tournament of her collegiate career this weekend at the Mercedes-Benz Women’s Collegiate Championship in Knoxville, Tenn. She shot rounds of 73-73-71=217 (+1) to finish in fifth place against a very strong field, leading the Gamecocks to a third-place showing, the best team finish for South Carolina women’s golf in over four years.

On the season, Carr carries a stroke average of 73.60 through four events, leading the team in that category.
