The South Carolina men’s soccer team (7-4-2) concludes its five-game homestand when it hosts No. 3 Wake Forest on Tuesday at Stone Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m. for the non-conference matchup.

Series Information
Wake Forest owns a 13-11-4 upperhand in the all-time series with South Carolina. The teams last met on the pitch during the 2008 season at the Demon Deacons’ fall tournament, where Wake Forest claimed a 1-0 victory. South Carolina’s last win in the series came in a 1-0 victory in Winston-Salem during the 2004 campaign.

The Demon Deacons are currently ranked No. 3 in the Soccer America top-25 poll after notching back-to-back victories over College of Charleston and No. 13 NC State last week. Zack Schilawki leads the squad with six goals on the year, while Austin da Luz leads the team in points (17) having scored three goals, while adding 11 assists on the year. Goalkeeper Akira Fitzgerald owns a 0.85 goals against average and has collected 56 saves and three shutouts on the year.

Senior Night Oct. 31
Following two consecutive away contests following Tuesday night’s match against Wake Forest, South Carolina will return to Stone Stadium for senior night on Oct. 31. South Carolina will host Marshall with game time set for 7 p.m.

Conference USA Breakdown
With its 5-1 victory over UAB, Tulsa (3-0-1, 10 points) is currently tied with the Blazers (3-1-1, 10 points) atop the Conference USA men’s soccer standings. Marshall is currently third with a 3-1-0 record (9 points), follwed by South Carolina (2-0-1, 7 points). The top four teams advance to the C-USA Tournament, hosted by the regular-season winner, in November.
