COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gamecock men’s basketball team will hold its second-annual student-only event at the Strom Thurmond Fitness and Wellness Center on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5-6 p.m. Free pizza, a DJ and prizes such as an iTouch, an iShuffle, an on-the-court experience at Southeastern Conference contests and lunch with second-year head coach Darrin Horn will be available for South Carolina students. Students who attend will also have an exclusive look at the 2009-10 Gamecock men’s basketball game jerseys. The entire Gamecock men’s basketball team and staff will participate in the hour-long event.

South Carolina kicks off the 2009-10 campaign with an exhibition contest against Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 5. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena.
