MIAMI – The South Carolina men’s soccer team drew a 0-0 tie with Florida International on Saturday night in Miami. Carolina is now 7-5-3 and 2-1-2 in Conference USA, while the Panthers are 5-9-1 and 0-5-1.
Gamecock goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer recorded six saves in 110 minutes. Sam Arthur, Will Traynor and Evan O’Dell each had two shots apiece for South Carolina. The Gamecocks finished the night with 10.
Will Thompson and Sebastian Frings each had three shots for FIU. The Panthers took 13 shots on the night.
South Carolina returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Birmingham, Ala., to face UAB at 8 p.m. ET.
