COLUMBIA, S.C. – Johannes Pulsfort from the South Carolina men’s tennis team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Pulsfort won two of his three matches at the South Carolina Fall Invitational. His opening win of the event was a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Louisville’s Simon Childs, who is ranked No. 72 in the nation. Pulsfort went on to grind out a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over SEC rival Alex Stamchev of Auburn. Pulsfort’s victories came when his team needed him most as the Gamecocks were without their top two singles players for much of the tournament.
