AUBURN, Ala. – South Carolina men’s tennis scored five wins in seven matches on the second day of the Auburn Fall Invitational at Yarbrough Tennis Center. Senior Diego Cubas and sophomore Ivan Machado remained undefeated in the tournament, while Ivan Cressoni and freshman Harry Menzies posted singles victories as well.

Cubas and Machado, the nation’s ninth-best doubles tandem, edged out Auburn’s Nick Maurillo and Andreas Mies 9-8 (3) in Flight One Doubles before going on to score singles victories in Flights One and Two, respectively. No. 28 Cubas breezed past Mies 6-3, 6-2 for his second victory in Flight One, while Machado took care of Maurillo 6-2, 6-3 in Flight Two.

Cressoni was methodical in a 6-4, 6-2 win over Auburn’s Michael Wardell in Flight Three, and Menzies rallied from a set down to top Alex Jorne of Auburn 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in Flight Five.

The three-day tournament wraps up on Sunday with the Gamecocks taking the court at 10 a.m. (ET).
