COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina equestrian team is now ranked fifth after the latest equestrian coaches’ poll was released on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks had been ranked fourth since the first week of December, but dropped a spot in the latest poll after Oklahoma State moved up from No. 5 after the Cowgirls beat Kansas State 17-6 on February 6.

The Gamecocks’ did not compete last week because their competition against SMU scheduled for February 13 was cancelled after last week’s winter snow storm destroyed the roof at the Mustangs’ indoor facility at BuckBranch Farm outside of Dallas.

South Carolina will host Oklahoma State in the Gamecocks’ final home competition of the season this Saturday at 10 a.m. at One Wood Farm in Blythewood. Admission is free to the public.
