COLUMBIA, S.C. – Graduating senior Tyler Ruthven was named the men’s soccer team MVP at the South Carolina Athletics Department’s annual Gamecock Gala on Monday, April 26.

Ruthven collected first-team all-Conference USA honors and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-South Third Team after an outstanding year for the Gamecocks. Ruthven anchored the Carolina defense, while scoring one goal and collecting one assist on the year. He concluded his Carolina career with two goals and two assists.
